To me, Keith became an ally and a friend over the years. He was not my relative, but over years of friendship, we became related. His loss will be felt greatly as he was a huge part of our lives. People like Keith are few and far between. People who stand by you no matter what and become someone who you can turn to, no matter what, be it day or night. Being reliable is a priceless quality and Keith was that, in abundance. I don't think it is ever easy to say goodbye to someone who had slowly became a usual part of your week. I will miss our chats over cups of tea and your incessant teasing. Christmas will never be the same as Father Christmas will no longer stuff all our stockings with so many presents from one person alone. Birthdays will lose a certain sparkle brought on by your thoughtful presence equipped with a cake, as in your view, two cakes were better than one ! And life will never be the same without the usual doorbell signifying your arrival and seeing your smiling face at our door. The week will appear log without the friend lending his quiet support. For my part, I will miss the comfort of your presence and your constant support whether I needed it or not. As you said many times, ' the things I do for you.. Haha'. Absolutely- I can't thank you enough for them all. Speaking for the family, I know my children will miss your love and thoughtfulness. My husband will have no one encouraging him in his teasing and joining in with any jokes at my expense. Thank you for everything Keith. I don't think saying goodbye would ever have been easy. When is time ever enough? For us, you left too soon but I am glad that you did not suffer. I hope you turn the kettle on, in heaven as you look down at all of us above. As you enjoy your cuppa, I hope that you know that even if we no longer see you, you are very much on our thoughts too. Much Love Neeta x
